BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
We believe that the worlds of art and business have a lot to offer each other. This is why we are inviting you to invest in The Flight Deck as a Business Partner. Business Partners contribute a tax-deductible donation to The Flight Deck and enjoy marketing opportunities, workshops with our professional artists, tickets to shows and discounts on rentals. By bringing together the worlds of art and business, we strengthen our local ties, and collaborate on making Oakland the best place it can possibly be.

Arts Workshops for Business Partners
The Flight Deck offers Business Partners three different dips into the artistic experience that apply to any field. These workshops can be for 5-30 participants, and generally take 3 hours each, but can be scaled to time and space available and can be at The Flight Deck (based on availability) or at the partner’s location.
Performance Skills for Compelling Presentations
Learn the tools of classical performance (voice work, stance, gesture, etc.) to enhance any presentation. Step into your power/presence to command your audience’s attention, turn nerves into positive energy, and improvise when diverging from the script is needed. Participants will leave with a polished one-minute presentation.
Collaborative Co-Creation
In this process-focused workshop, try out several different methods for creating collaboratively. This workshop combines visual, physical, written and verbal techniques for brainstorming with a group as well as methods for group decision-making. Learn how to create more innovative products through collaborative process than any team member could create on their own, and leave with a set of tools to design a process to fit any project.
The Power of Story
What is your story? In this workshop, use the tools of narrative to unpack and understand the history of your project and to envision its future. Dig into character, conflict, obstacle and intention to discover the hidden potential of your work and to set your course for next steps. Participants will use writing, oral storytelling and visual imagery to craft narratives that inspire, unify and motivate.
